Love it!Oct 13, 2009

I just got my bag today and had to tell you how much I Love it! I had read the review about a bad smell inside the bag, but ordered it anyway. I love the bag, it is just right for a weekend plane trip. I smell nothing in the bag and am so glad I did not let the other review stop me from getting it. It will hold everything I need for this weekend (lots of pockets for small thing), and I will not have to check a bag at the airport. Thank you Amazon (I got it in less then 24 hours!!)

Underseat airline travel bagDec 15, 2009

I have now changed my review. This bag is not wearing as well as the first bag I have of the same type. The first bag is still good, however this bag is falling apart . . . the handles are coming apart from the seams and the zippers are very fragile. The wheels are wobbily. The pull handle is has too much wiggle. [Old review: This is the second bag I have purchased . . . I LOVE IT that much.] I have another one in red. Packs a lot, rolls easily, surprises everyone with the ease at which I travel . . .very light. The extra bag has a back strap that holds it securely to the rolling bag . . . no flipping as you are wheeling. To enhance the volume to be packed, I also use space bags (not the vaccuum kind) to really pack a week's worth of clothes for a cruise. Gowns pack easily in the back up bag. This bag is a charm!

shoddy zippersFeb 22, 2010
By snorkel girl I have owned this bag for 18 months and on my third trip with it coming home yesterday, the main zipper broke. I have lost three of the plastic pulls. They simply break off and are not replaceable The bag itself it good but the cheap plastic zippers and pulls have now made it unusable. I would never buy this bag again and despite the fact it is out of warantee I plan to send it back to Travelon. Don't buy this bag.

Better than ExpectedNov 02, 2010
By YaYaNaNa I have used a soft leather almost duffle since 1996 for my many business trips. I was loathe to give it up since it was easy to flip under the seat and had outside pockets for everything I might need to pull out during a flight. But traveling with that bag along with a computer bag seemed increasingly inconvenient, especially as my laptops have gotten smaller but still added too much weight to my duffle to carry around comfortably. So I started to look for a new option. I wanted it to have wheels, have room for my laptop, purse, book, iPhone, headphones, drink, make-up and snack, and organize it for easy access during flight. And it had to fit under the seat. This was the only bag that reviewers on this and other sites consistently reported meeting this demand. Still, I had trepidations. I wanted raw, undyed soft leather. But Alas. When the Travelon bag arrived, the first thing that struck me was that the "fabric" was much thicker and much much nicer feeling than I had expected. There were pockets - functional ones - all over this thing. I loaded it up ,using a sleeve for my 12 inch computer, for a flight the next day. I was still skeptical that it would fit under the window seat. But it did. In that moment I was sold. I still need to create an organizing system for this bag so that I know exactly where to reach for what, but even so, the bag was equally easy to slip out from under the seat and find things. The zippers meet at the top, unlike at least one bag where they unzipped from center front upward (picture everything falling out in that configuration) so that it was easy to access. The black bag pictured here has a gray lining. The lining, which feels more substantial while softer, than the lining in my suitcase, is, in my bag, light blue. A bonus for me. I am very pleased and should Travelon ever release a soft undyed leather version, I will be the first to buy it.

Spend more on a better brandJun 24, 2011
By ruthy thought i was getting a great deal when i compared it to the Brookstone one that was identical. Boy was I wrong. The zippers are actually made of cheap plastic and broke off completely during a trip to NY leaving all of my belongings loose. Can't beleive I wasted my money. The material used in manufacturing are just not up to par with what you need for traveling. Don't waste your money.
