1Who designed this thing?Feb 22, 2008
By Karen Hill "khill29"
This is the most bizarre toy loader I have ever seen and tried to use (I am a 38 yr old parent to a 2 yr old). Not only is the body shorter than it is tall, thus making it difficult to move across terrain (like that commonly found in a sandbox), but the scoop - if you can call it that - doesn't function AT ALL and appears to logically upside down.
To pick up even a modicum of sand you must hold the scoop tilted back with one hand while pushing with the other, otherwise the scoop tilts forward and dumps out all the sand; then you must pull back on the handle while simultaneously holding down the flimsy plastic body. This will get you about 1/4 cup of sand...and is pretty difficult for a 2 yr old to maneuver, to boot.
I just can't fathom how this thing made it to production. Don't they test these on actual children?
It's cheap, that's for sure. But it is not worth even one penny.

1Frustrating toy... don't buy itNov 07, 2008
By Marcie
I agree with the previous reviewer - this is the worst designed toy ever. The scoop is disproportionate to the body. If the scoop is lifted off the ground at all, the whole front loader tips over. I don't think you can actually get the loader to sit as it is shown in the picture - it would fall over. There are so many better loaders and trucks, don't waste your money on this one.

1poor design constructed of cheap materialsJun 20, 2010

Agree with most other reviewers. The bucket is made of nice heavy duty metal, while the rest of the toy is made of flimsy and cheap plastic. You lift the bucket even one inch off the ground, the toy tips forward. its impossible to use as a "loader". Also, the tracks seem to fall off extremely easily because of the flimsy plastic design. Would recommend looking for a different front loader toy.

1No FunMar 11, 2010

There was a reason this toy was on sale. Every time any child tried to make the loader go up and down, the whole contraption would just fall on it's face. Literally. You can't put any sand or water or anything in the "loader" because it gets top/front heavy and falls over. I'm sure the real-life loader has more weight distributed to the back so that it's properly balanced at all times. Very disappointed in the toy.

5Very durable toyJan 18, 2010
By Mom of 4 boys
My sons have had these for about a month now. They love to play with them. Very strong and rugged! They have not had trouble with the bucket as some others have mentioned. They have not rusted even after being left outside. Highly recommend, I see they are now about one fourth of what I paid for them.
