Any piece of clothing with a radiation symbol is coolOct 18, 2007

"Gunslinger"
So I broke my watch in Iraq. I was reading an article in Men's Journal magazine that talked about this watch, so I took a look at it. I figure anything made by the Israelis has to be a solid piece of equipment. I know that the UZI submachine gun is a reliable, fantastic firearm, so why should I expect less? Anyway, so I placed my order and waited for it to come to my APO here in Iraq. It got here and I was immediately impressed with it. It is a solid, well built timepiece. It looks like you could hit it several times with a hammer and not even scratch it. It has a rotating bezel that takes some oomph to turn, so it won't just adjust on its own if it rubs against a sleve or gear. Then there is the Tritium hands and 4 points. This thing glows so bright you could probably read a map with it if you had to. The stem has to be unscrewed before adjusting the time, to improve water resistance, and also so it won't adjust itself. It may not be too pretty, or too expensive, but it is a Mack Truck of a watch. I have a Seiko, a couple of Fossils, and some other medium priced dress watches. This watch isn't something I would wear with a suit, or even a polo maybe, but it seems like it will always be ready to go if needed. This watch is cheaper than a "G-Shock" and probably three times as good. I know that when the hordes of the dead start to wander the earth, this watch will be in my Zombie survival kit.

Disappointed....Aug 26, 2011
By xwarrior26 I was really excited when I first bought this watch. It was a great bargain compared to the Luminox and it said it was water resistant. It's been about 2 years since I bought it and I made the mistake of wearing it in the pool just a week ago - mind you I always make sure that everything is nice and tight with my watch - this is the only watch that I wore consistently for the last 2 years. I was so disappointed to find out that moisture got inside - I've stored the watch inside a bag of rice for a week and the moisture never dried out. Now every time I got out for a short run the watch face collects moisture inside the glass and that's just from me sweating - it never did that before! As far as the pool was concerned - it wasn't like I was diving in deep water - I stayed within one or two feet. Now I've got a ruined watch and all I keep telling myself was - I should've paid the money for a Luminox. Learn from my mistake - the watch may look cool and it might be cheaper than a Luminox but it definitely does not last like a good watch should. I'm absolutely disappointed!

Cheap, flimsy piece of rubbish- don't waste your timeJan 09, 2009
By Adam I'll keep the review brief because there isn't a whole lot that needs to be said about this watch. Just do yourself a favor and do NOT buy one!
At first glance it looks like an OK buy for the modest price being asked with its supposedly "rugged" construction, Tritium lume, 200m water resistance, screw down crown, Swiss quartz movement etc. but beware, this watch is a piece of junk.
I've had TWO of these watches and in both cases, the second hand has simply fallen off and now slides around the inside the watch face, actually jamming the hour or minute hands, preventing them from rotating properly. This experience is not unique to me either, I've read on the internet of other people who have the exact same thing happen to their Uzi Protector. Also, the Tritium lume on this watch is VERY dim and is nothing like the Luminox/ Traser illumination system.
There is obviously some design/ manufacturing flaw with this watch so just do yourself a favor and don't bother with it.
Junk and a generous 1 star rating.

Sturdy but cheezy...May 26, 2007
By Harold Olcese The picture makes it look so much better than it actually is. To be honest, it seems durable, though looks ultra goofy... The tritium only glows like the picture displays it in TOTAL DARKNESS.
very cheap very badMar 17, 2012
By JJOS I got my watch and the minute hand does not send any light. Poor quality it is made in thailand the crown is very misaligned. I am very dissapointed. I recomend to buy a luminox.
