Design flaws & overcomplexityOct 31, 2010
By Laura Landy PROS: I love the look of this bag in espresso with the red lining. I also like that it has more than just one big compartment. The material is substantial, yet not too heavy. The bag is well-made, overall.
CONS: There are several design flaws that prompted me to return the bag.
1. There are too many compartments. This constrains flexibility and adds to the weight of the bag. You have to take too many steps to get to some of the compartments. This is like having to go through too many clicks on a website or in an application, or too many phone button presses on a customer service call. Very irritating.
2. The 2 zippered pockets on the flaps are to narrow to get your hand into. This results in the zipper scraping your hand when you insert it. If the bag shape were designed so that the top was slightly wider than the bottom (like a pail) rather than the other way around, this could be avoided.
3. By the time you fill all the compartments, the actual space in the main compartment is minimal. And despite all the compartments, I couldn't figure out (and I am a designer/organizer) how to pack it up so that my most frequently-used items (cell phone, sunglasses, reading glasses, bills, coins, and cards) were easily accessible. If you put anything with any weight in the flap compartments, such as a key ring with half a dozen keys - or even a few lighter things - the flaps get weighty and opening and closing them feels awkward.
This is the 3rd smallish baggallini I've bought and I've had to return them all due to irritating design flaws.

Great bagSep 14, 2009
By Suzanne I used this bag to carry all essential small personal items on my recent trip to Ireland. It held a compact digital camera, Blackberry, cash, credit cards, passport, pen, glasses, lipstick...what else does anyone need? The strap adjusts for over-the should or across-the-body (leaving hands free) wear. It's a fantastic small travel bag and I'm considering using it more often at home!

lots of space in small place!Aug 03, 2010

"on the fly"
I love this sporty bag. It has an amazing amount of compartmentalized space in a small package. I have a place for everything - just have to remember what I put in which pocket! I decided to buy a small trifold wallet so I can keep my currency in the front zippered pouch. The inside has sleeves for five cards, two pen holders and a pouch that can hold a stack of cards. My iPhone and checkbook fit perfectly in the slip-in pouch on the back. I am usually a purse over-stuffer. This one has enough space, but not so much that I can carry around a lot of junk. The adjustable strap has a long range, so the bag can ride on your hip or snug under the arm. It's very well made and I'm looking at other Baggallini bags!

Great bag!May 02, 2010
By Beth Rodda What can I say? This is a great bag, and I'm sorry I didn't get another one in another color.
Small, light weight and has tons of pockets. There are magnetic snaps and large handles on zipper pulls making it easy to access with my impaired hand movement.

baggalliniMay 12, 2010
By L. Nelson I had a previous style of this bag, and found the previous design superior. However, the bag size and compartmentalization is what I look for in a purse. I do not like the first small zipper compartment on the current design. It zips open so far that my change falls out. I now have to carry a wallet with this design, which I did not previously. Even with these changes, I would recommend this purse. The material on this bag can be wiped down easily, which is a positive change. I also think Baggallini makes a good product. Delivery was quick, and I received exactly what I ordered.
