 LOVED this sleepsack..........until I washed itJul 26, 2011

I was very happy with this little sleep sack outfit when it arrived. It was super cute, the fabric is beautiful & along with the hat it made for an adorable little ensemble. The unfortunate part is that after my baby wore it only two times I had to wash it (on cold, gentle cycle of course)boy did it shrink!!! She can no longer even fit in it comfortably, such a shame, just glad I got pictures of her in it before I washed it.

I got this as a shower gift, and at first I assumed I would use it when my baby was older, maybe 2 or 3 months, since I intended to swaddle her instead of using a wearable blanket. At three weeks old she could wriggle her way out of any swaddler, and as it was obvious that she wanted her hands free, we switched her to the ladybug. I wished we'd used it earlier! The shoulder straps are thick and keep her chest warm, the cotton inside is thick, like a good quality sweatshirt, and the zipper at the bottom makes opening it up for diaper changes easy. Our house is drafty, and she sleeps soundly with this on top of a mitten-cuff onesie and a sleep-and-play. The hat seems big, but it has an inside seam that doesn't give. She was too big for the hat at one month old, and she's not even at the 50 percentile in head circumference. She's barely six weeks old, and again not tall for her age, and I have to make sure I tug the blanket all the way down or I won't be able to zip it over her feet. I was just looking for this in another size and am very disappointed that this is it. The only other challenge I have is that the front/top area bunches up under her chin when we breastfeed and I have to keep tugging it down. Other than that, it's warm, breathable, and adorable, and I would recommend it.

We have several sleep-sacks and this one is by far the best quality, the warmest and the cutest. I only wish they made it in more sizes. My daughter is 5 months and she has almost outgrown it.

I got this for my niece, she's 3 months old, the Hat is small, was a little tight on her, and the Costume was just about the right size, wouldn't fit if she was older, If your baby is 6 months old i wouldn't recommend it.
Its made from a very soft material and its very comfy for them.
